Self Enquiry Report

  • Finance
  • Credit Reporting

CRC Self Enquiry Report is a type of credit information report that allows an individual or a corporate organization to check their credit report on CRC Credit Bureau’s database. So instead of a bank or another institution checking your loan history, you are the one checking your own history. The data in this report are collated from any institution that gives out loans, or does any form of ‘buy now, pay later’ service. These institutions include banks, telecommunication companies, housing agents, supermarkets, retailers, car dealers that allow payment in installments, etc.

The Credit Information Report (CIR) is a statement of your credit transaction history and provides amongst other information:

  • Credits/Loans you have enjoyed, or you are currently enjoying (if any) from any institution.
  • All the loans you have collected in the past, and how you repaid them.
  • Any loans that you currently have.

Checking your credit report is the first major step in taking control of your financial status. You already have an idea of what you owe, and where. But when you look at your credit report, you can see how lenders view you. You can somewhat predict how good or bad your chances are of getting the loan you want to apply for. Some institutions may also require you to provide a Self Enquiry Report to assist them in deciding if you are eligible for a loan or not.

Customers are advised to request CRC Self Enquiry reports to enable them:

  • Verify that the information on their borrowing is complete and accurate.
  • Confirm that their identity has not been fraudulently used by someone else.
  • Know how to maintain a credible and clean credit status.
  • Carry out self-assessment before applying for loans.

The Self Enquiry Report can be obtained directly via internet access through our website www.crccreditbureau.com/credit-monitor. For individuals, a completed Self Enquiry Form and any means of identification such as scanned copy of International Passport, National ID card or Driving License is required. For corporate organizations, a completed Entity Self Enquiry Form, a scanned copy of the Managing Director’s form of identification, a scanned copy of company’s registrati on (Certification of Incorporation) is sufficient.

Payment for the Self Enquiry Report can be made online through the quick teller platform, or by payment at our designated banks; any branch of United Bank for Africa (UBA) and Access Bank.
