The CRC Score is a three-digit number that summarises the information in a Credit Information Report and enables lenders and/or credit grantors make swift decisions on the level of riskiness of loan applicants and buyers of post-paid products.
The CRC Score was developed in collaboration with Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO), an American company with over 50 years of experience in data and analytics.
Over 100 billion FICO Scores have been sold to date in more than 90 countries, making it the most widely used credit score in the world.
The score ranges from 300 to 850, with 300 being the lowest score and 850 the highest. The lower the credit score the higher the level of riskiness or probability that the customer may default in payment.
HOW IS CRC SCORE CALCULATED?
CRC Score is calculated from data in the Credit Information Report using five parameters. Each of these parameters are assigned weights that sum up the total score:
